Eagle Run and Walk 5k

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Date: 2025-07-06
• Location: 226 Boesel Ave, Manville, NJ
• Organizer: Scout Troop 193 for Maddox's Eagle Scout project
• Purpose: All proceeds will be donated to the local VFW to support veterans.

🌟 Project Significance

• Community Service: Eagle Scout projects are leadership service projects undertaken by Scouts.
• Demonstration: These projects showcase commitment to community service and leadership skills.
• Planning: Each project requires significant planning and development.
• Maddox's Journey: Maddox is a long-time Scout working towards his Eagle.

🏞️ About the Course

• Terrain: This will be a closed course, mixed terrain packed trail with some road in the Lost Valley section of Manville.
• Certification: This is not a certified course.
• Water Stations: There will be on course water station(s).
• Restroom Facilities: There are port o'potties at the start.

🥤 Post Race Activities

• Refreshments: Post race refreshments will be offered.
• Medals: Placement medals will be given for the top male, female and nonbinary runners.
• Shirts: All participants will receive a commemorative shirt.
• Parking: There's ample parking at the start.
