CARNIVAL FROLIC 13.1 AND 5K 2026

Join us on February 14, 2026, at 905 Canal St NE, Decatur, AL for the 10th annual Carnival Frolic 13.1-mile race and a shorter 5K option.

Race Highlights

• Location: Decatur, Alabama, known for its fabulous running/biking trail.
• Course: USATF certified race course through historic districts, along the Tennessee River, and Point Mallard Park.
• Map: Course map available at certifiedroadraces.com.
• Relay Option: Grab friends for a half marathon relay with up to 4 members per team.

5K Run Details

• Start Time: The 5K race starts at 7:15 AM.
• Participants: 5K runners receive a race shirt, carnival swag, and Finisher surprise.
• Refreshments: Enjoy Mardi Gras donuts, Gatorade, and Pepsi products at the finish line.
• Course: The 5K runs out and back on the same Frolic course.

Frolic 13.1 Individual Participants

• Included Items: Race shirt, carnival swag, and Finishers Medal.
• Relay Team: Team participants also receive race shirts and unique Finisher Medals.
• Awards: Cash prizes for overall winners and special awards for age group winners.
• Post-Race Celebration: Enjoy beignets, red beans and rice, and a complimentary mimosa or cold beer.

Registration Information

• Online Registration: Available through February 12, 2026, with incremental fee increases as race day approaches.
• Late Registration: In-person registration at the Carnegie Visual Arts Center until Carnival Weekend.
• Available Times: February 13 from 10:30 AM to 6 PM and pre-race on February 14 from 6 AM to 6:45 AM.
• Note: Late registrants may not receive race shirts or preferred sizes.

Packet Pick-Up

• Location: Carnegie Visual Arts Center.
• Times: February 13 from 10:30 AM to 6 PM and February 14 from 6 AM to 6:45 AM.

Finishing Time Cut-Off

• Time Limit: A 3:30 time limit for the HALF MARATHON as requested by the Decatur Police Department.
• Timing: Managed by RCR TIMING.
