Come BACK THE TRACK and support the Woodford County Track Club!

FRIDAY, AUGUST 15TH at 7:30PM at the WOODFORD COUNTY HS TRACK

SG Equine Ventures and O'Brien Ford present BACK THE TRACK! This 5k race and 1 mile walk/run will start and finish on the new track at Woodford County High School. Proceeds will go to support the Woodford County Track Club which supports the track and field programs through the public schools throughout Woodford County.

• Track Access: Opportunity to "break in" the new high school track
• Shirts: Commemorative super soft (unisex sized) race shirts (XS-3XL)
• Dress Code: Participants are invited to wear their best black and gold
• Events: Free race photos and awards for Top 3 M/F Overall & Top M/F in 5-year age divisions

• Packet Pickup: Convenient race evening packet pickup at the high school
• Course: Paved course through the school complex and Falling Springs Trail
• Race Formats: 5K run/walk (timed), 1-mile fun run/walk (untimed) and virtual option sponsored by SG Equine Ventures and O'Brien Ford.
• Track Challenge: Opportunity to test your skills and try to break a school record

• Stick Horse Race: Sponsored by Grey Ridge Farm Riding Academy - For ages 8 and under
• Fun Atmosphere: Food, fun, fellowship and music for a great cause!

• 5K: $25 (June 5 - July 31), $30 (August 1 - 15)
• 1 Mile: $15 (June 5 - July 31), $20 (August 1-15)
• Virtual: $25 (June 5 - August 15)

🐴 Stick Horse Race

From 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, children ages 8 and under are invited to join in a Stick Horse Race before the 5k race. Each child will get their very own stick horse to race and keep. You don't need to sign up for this in advance, but we are interested in whether you want to participate (so we can get a general head count). You'll actually sign up (and sign a waiver) on race night for the Stick Horse Race.

The cost to participate is $5. Payment for the Woodford Track Challenge will be made on the night of the race (cash or credit/debit card accepted).

🏅 Woodford Track Challenge Events

From 5:30 to 7:00 pm, we plan to hold a series of fun, special challenge events on the night of the race from 5:30-7:00pm. All levels are welcome to participate and "Test Your Skills" in various track and field disciplines. The Woodford County Track Club with the help of the HS Track Team will help organize/run the events. You don't need to sign up for this in advance, but we are interested in whether you want to participate (so we can get a general head count). You'll actually sign up (and sign a waiver) on race night for the Woodford Track Challenge.

The cost to participate is $5/event or $15 for all events. Payment for the Woodford Track Challenge will be made on the night of the race (cash or credit/debit card accepted).

• 100m Dash: See if you can break the school records!
• 400m Race: Run a lap around the track to challenge the records.
• 1600m Challenge: Test your mile and aim for a record!
• Throwing Events: Break records in shot put and discus.

• Long Jump: Break the school record if you can!
• High Jump: Challenge yourself to reach a school record.
• Relay Race: Gather a team for a 4x100m race and potentially set a new record!
