DMTL Presents: A Healthy KSU 3K & Health Fair

Event Overview

On Saturday August 22, 2026, DMTL Nonprofit Organization will host the Annual A Healthy KSU 3K & Health Fair. Our vision is to decrease the health disparities within and among KSU students, alumni, and the Frankfort community, bridging gaps to help achieve Health Equity!

Background

• Founder: Kentucky State University alumnus and A Healthy KSU and DMTL founder Tyrie Nason Buchanan.
• Mission: DMTL is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focusing on health equity and mentorship.
• Inspiration: The organization was founded to highlight healthy lifestyles and promote inclusivity for historically marginalized communities.
• History: Six successful events have raised funds for cancer care and scholarships while providing health education campaigns.

Health Disparities

• Risk Factors: African Americans are at higher risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and more.
• Community Call: Alumni, family, and guests are encouraged to raise awareness of health disparities in the African American community.
• Sustainable Outcomes: Efforts to build sustainable health outcomes for future generations.
• Community Growth: Together we can connect and provide resources to help communities thrive.

Stay after the 3K for A Healthy KSU’s annual Health Fair and enjoy FREE health screenings, FREE food, music, giveaways, and activities.
