Event Features

- Run or Walk 5K: Join us for an enjoyable run or walk at your own pace.
- Fun For All: Family-friendly event, suitable for participants of all ages.
- Jerry Can 5K Relay: A relay format with teams of three. Teams will carry a Jerry can with specific water weights. All age athletes are welcomed!
Course Details
- Location: Starts and ends near the Coldstream Dog Park and Legacy Trail in north Lexington, KY.
- Relay Format: Each team will run/walk the 5K with a Jerry can. Time results are recorded when the can crosses the finish line.
- Team Structure: Teams sign up as a single entry and must form their own three-person teams.
- Carrying Rules: The Jerry can can be carried in any position, but no straps or alternative methods are permitted.
Event Purpose
The goal of the Foundations for Hope 5K is to advance the Gospel by empowering the local church, investing in individuals, providing critical resources, and equipping Christian leaders. This year’s 5K will support these efforts in East Africa by providing communities with Christian leaders, churches, clean water, and medicine. Join us for a great event and be part of a generation being changed by the love of Jesus.
