Run Like a King 5K

🏃‍♂️ WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE SUPPORT

• Event Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025
• Location: Quakertown Borough
• Participation: Open to individuals and families, from casual walkers to enthusiastic runners
• Purpose: Supporting Fire Safety Awareness Month and learning about fire safety

🔥 OUR INITIATIVE

• Foundation: King Family Memorial Foundation, Inc. (KFMF)
• Background: Established in response to a house fire tragedy in Quakertown on Christmas morning in 2021
• Mission: To assist families who have lost loved ones or been displaced by house fires
• Education: Aiming to educate the community about fire safety

• Venue: The Park at 4th (Univest Performance Center)
• Address: 501 W Mill Street, Quakertown, PA 18951

📝 REGISTRATION / PACKET PICKUP

• 5K (Run/Walk): Online registration until 9:30 AM on 10/18
• Fun Run: Online registration until 11:00 AM on 10/18

📦 PACKET PICKUP

• Date: Friday (10/17) – Location TBD
• Race Day: Packet pickup will be located in the park, see map!

💰 REGISTRATION FEES & INFORMATION

• 5K (Run & Walk): $30 Early Bird by 8/31: $35 from 9/1-9/30: $40 from 10/1-10/18 (Shirts/headbands unavailable after 9/30)
• 1 Mile All Age Stroll: $15 Early Bird by 8/31: $20 from 9/1-9/30: $25 from 10/1-10/18
• 1/2 Mile Fun Run: $10 Early Bird by 8/31: $15 from 9/1-9/30: $20 from 10/1-10/18
• VIRTUAL 5K: $30 Early Bird by 8/31: $35 from 9/1-9/30: $40 from 10/1-10/18 (Shirts/headbands unavailable after 9/30)

⏰ RACEDAY TIMEFRAME

• 5K Run: Begins at 9:30 AM
• Walk/Stroller Wave: Begins at 9:35 AM
• 1 Mile All Age Stroll: Starts directly after 5K Walk/Stroller
• 1/2 Mile Kid’s Fun Run: Begins at 10:45 AM (Rain or shine!)

🏆 Awards

• Announcement: Awards will be given out after the Kid’s Fun Run
• Medals: 5K KFMF Finisher Medal for all 5K Participants

🎉 ACTIVITIES / AMENITIES

• Local Fire Department: Trucks will be present
• Kids’ Fire Safety Packets: Available for children
• Post-Race Snacks: Bottled water and refreshments
• Kids’ Corner: Featuring slides, bounce houses, balloon artists, and face painters

🅿️ PARKING INFORMATION

• Free Parking: Available at the corner of 4th & Mill, and Quakertown Community Pool
• On-Street Parking: Paid parking is enforced: participants are responsible for any incurred fees
• Library Parking: Quakertown Library has normal operating hours on race day: vehicles in this lot may be towed
