Run Like a King 5K

🏃‍♂️ WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE SUPPORT

• Exciting event: We’re excited to host our very first 5K this October — and we hope to make it an annual tradition!
• Community focus: This rain-or-shine event is perfect for individuals and families alike, welcoming everyone from casual walkers to enthusiastic runners in Quakertown Borough on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
• Cause awareness: After the race, stick around to connect with local fire departments, who will be onsite in support of Fire Safety Awareness Month.
• Impact: It’s a great opportunity to stay active, support a good cause, and learn more about keeping your home and loved ones safe.

🕊️ OUR MISSION

• Foundation background: This initiative aims to raise funds for our non-profit organization, King Family Memorial Foundation, Inc. (KFMF), which was established in response to a tragic event that occurred in Quakertown on Christmas morning in 2021.
• Support to families: Our mission is to provide assistance and support to those who have experienced the unimaginable loss of spouses, parents, children, and siblings due to house fires.
• Education: Additionally, we want to educate the children in our community and surrounding areas about fire safety, ensuring they know how to react in such terrifying situations.
• Ongoing support: We aspire to offer financial support to local fire departments whenever possible, continuing to honor the legacy of Eric, Liam, and Patrick while providing ongoing support and love to Kristin and Brady.

📝 REGISTRATION / PACKET PICKUP

• 5K Registration: Online registration is available until 9:30 AM on 10/18
• Fun Run Registration: Online registration is available until 11:00 AM on 10/18
• Packet Pickup: Friday (10/17) – Location TBD
• Race Day: Packet pickup will be located in the park, see map!

💰 REGISTRATION FEES & INFORMATION

• 5K (Run & Walk): $30 EARLY BIRD registration until 8/31
• 1 Mile All Age Stroll: $15 EARLY BIRD registration until 8/31
• 1/2 Mile Fun Run: $10 EARLY BIRD registration until 8/31
• VIRTUAL 5K: $30 EARLY BIRD registration until 8/31

⏰ RACEDAY TIMEFRAME

• 5K Run: Wave begins at 9:30 AM
• Walk/Stroller: Wave begins at 9:35 AM
• 1 Mile Stroll: Starts directly after 5K Walk/Stroller
• 1/2 Mile Fun Run: Begins at 10:45 AM (Rain or shine!)

🏆 AWARDS

• Announcement: You’ll find out on race day – maybe sooner, we’ll see!
• 5K KFMF Medal: Finisher Medal for all 5K Participants!

• Fire Department: Local Fire Department / Trucks
• Kids’ Packets: Kids’ Fire Safety Packets
• Snacks & Drinks: Post race snacks / bottled water
• Food & Fun: Food Trucks, Vendors, and a Kids’ Corner with slide/bounce houses/balloon artist/face painters, and more!

🅿️ PARKING INFORMATION

• Free Parking: Available at the corner of 4th & Mill and Quakertown Community Pool
• On-street Parking: Please be mindful: Quakertown has moved to Park Mobile App and all paid parking will be labeled.
• Library Parking: Quakertown Library has normal operating hours: anyone who parks in this lot is subject to having their vehicle towed at their own expense.
