Run Like a King 5K

🏃‍♂️ WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE SUPPORT

• Event Date: October 18, 2025.
• Location: Quakertown Borough.
• Purpose: Fundraising for the King Family Memorial Foundation, Inc.
• Cause: Support individuals affected by house fires and promote fire safety education.

We’re excited to host our very first 5K this October — and we hope to make it an annual tradition! This rain-or-shine event is perfect for individuals and families alike, welcoming everyone from casual walkers to enthusiastic runners. After the race, stick around to connect with local fire departments, who will be onsite in support of Fire Safety Awareness Month. It’s a great opportunity to stay active, support a good cause, and learn more about keeping your home and loved ones safe.

🔥 ABOUT THE KING FAMILY MEMORIAL FOUNDATION

• Background: Established in response to a tragic event in Quakertown in December 2021.
• Goal: Provide assistance to those who have experienced loss due to house fires.
• Education: Teach fire safety to children in the community.
• Support: Financial aid to local fire departments in memory of the King family.

📝 REGISTRATION / PACKET PICKUP

• 5K (Run/Walk): Online registration until 9:30 AM on 10/18.
• Fun Run: Online registration until 11:00 AM on 10/18.

📦 PACKET PICKUP

• Friday (10/17): Location TBD.
• Race Day: Packet pickup will be located in the park, see map!

💵 REGISTRATION FEES & INFORMATION

5K (Run & Walk) - (Dri-fit shirt, headband, participants medal, swag bag)

• $30: EARLY BIRD registration until 8/31.
• $35: Registration from 9/1-9/30.
• $40: Registration from 10/1-10/18 (Shirts/headbands will not be provided to any registrations after 9/21).

1 Mile All Age Stroll (Headband and swag bag are provided)

• $15: EARLY BIRD registration until 8/31.
• $20: Registration from 9/1-9/30.
• $25: Registration from 10/1-10/18 (Headbands will not be provided to any registrations after 9/21).

1/2 Mile Fun Run (ages 10 and under) (giveaway included)

• $10: EARLY BIRD registration until 8/31.
• $15: Registration from 9/1-9/30.
• $20: Registration from 10/1-10/18.

VIRTUAL 5K (Run & Walk) – Run Submissions accepted from 10/1-10/18 (Dri-fit shirt, swag bag and finishers medal are provided)

• $30: EARLY BIRD registration until 8/31.
• $35: Registration from 9/1-9/30.
• $40: Registration from 10/1-10/18 (Shirts/headbands will not be provided to any registrations after 9/21).

⏰ RACEDAY TIMEFRAME

• 5K Run: wave begins at 9:30 AM.
• Walk/Stroller: wave begins at 9:35 AM.
• 1 Mile All Age Stroll: starts directly after 5K Walk/Stroller.
• 1/2 Mile Kid’s Fun Run: begins at 10:45 AM.

• Local Fire Department: Fire trucks on site.
• Kids’ Fire Safety Packets: Available for all children.
• Post race snacks: Bottled water provided.
• Kids’ Corner: Slide/bounce houses/balloon artist/face painters, and more!

🚗 PARKING INFORMATION

• Free Parking: At the corner of 4th & Mill and Quakertown Community Pool.
• On-street parking: Quakertown has switched to Park Mobile App: participants are responsible for any parking fees or fines incurred.
• Quakertown Library: Normal operating hours on race day: parking in this lot may result in towing at your own expense.
