🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join us on Saturday October 3rd, 2026 at 9:00 am for the 2nd running of the Uwharrie Brewing Firehouse Walk/Run 5K and 1 Miler. All participants who sign up by October 1st will receive a Race T-Shirt. All participants over 21 will receive a complimentary Uwharrie Beer at the end of the race, participants under 21 or who prefer a non alcoholic beverage will have a choice of soft drinks, Coffee, Tea or Lemonade.

🔥 Event Significance

This race will be celebrating the old Firehouse, the Firehouse red ale beer, Albemarle Fire Department and Fire Prevention Week (October 4th to October 10th). The official theme for Fire Prevention Week 2026.

👟 Race Details

Runners, Walkers, and Strollers are welcome. We will have Games, Face Painting, coloring books, FREE Ice cream and Fire Safety Demonstrations by the Albemarle Fire Department after the run, so plan to stick around afterwards.

🏆 Uwharrie Brewing Running Club 5k Walk/Run

Event Type: The 5k Run will be a timed event.
Awards: Custom Engraved Mugs will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Female Finishers.
Medals: Age Group winners will receive a Custom Designed medal.
Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, Over 70.

Start and finish will be at Uwharrie Brewing.
