Uwharrie Mountain Run Overview
The 36th annual Uwharrie Mountain Run offers challenging, winter, single-track trail runs of 8, 20, and 40 miles in central North Carolina’s Uwharrie National Forest. Rocks, roots, creeks, cookies, and handmade pottery awards make Uwharrie a perennial favorite among both recreational and elite trail runners. Join us February 6, 2027 for a chilly, hilly good time!

Uwharrie Swag and Awards
- Participant Perks: All participants will receive a long sleeve race t-shirt, complimentary parking and shuttles, well stocked aid stations, and plenty of food and refreshments at the finish line.
- Pottery Awards: Awards are a special tradition at Uwharrie, a region known for its beautiful pottery. All finishers receive pottery awards that are hand-crafted by Michael Mahan, a local Seagrove potter.
- Winners' Recognition: The top 3 male and female winners in each race will receive handmade commemorative pottery and top overall male and female overall will also receive Altra shoe certificates.
- Awards Presentation: Awards are presented as runners finish.
