Save Our First Responders 5K

🚨 Event Overview

• Location: Truman Waterfront Park, near the Coast Guard Cutter Ingham, Key West, FL

👮 Who Can Participate

• Open to: The public and all ages: parents are encouraged to run or walk with their children.
• Main Event: The "Super Eight," featuring eight teams of Florida's first responders.
• Competing Teams: Includes 911 dispatchers, correctional officers, EMTs & paramedics, and more.
• Everyday Heroes: Recognition for teachers, security guards, clergy members, and others.

🏃 The Race Details

• Course: Three scenic laps of Truman Waterfront Park, totaling 5K.
• Post-Race: Refreshments and raffle, with opportunities for waterfront photos.
• Sign Up: Help raise awareness for first responders in distress by participating.
• First 100 Entrants: Receive a free T-Shirt!

🕒 Schedule of Events

• Pre-registration: January 9th from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Fit2Run, 211 Duval Street.
• Race Day Registration: Available from 6:00 AM - 7:30 AM at Truman Waterfront Park.
• Wounded Warrior Project: Encouragement to support the soldiers on January 9th and 10th.
• Opening and Closing Prayer: Led by Bishop Jonathan Carey of Glad Tidings Tabernacle.

• Age Categories: Awards for top 3 in each 10-year age group.
• Finisher Medals: All participants completing the 5K will receive a finisher medal.
