Patrolman Samuel Irvin Legacy 5K Run/Walk

Event Overview

We are honored to host the inaugural Patrolman Samuel C. Irvin Legacy 5K Walk/Run at Mansfield Twp. Park. The event will take place on the paved Kinkora Trail that winds through woods and farm fields.

In Memory of Sam

• Honoring Sam: This event is in memory of our 23-year-old son, Sam, who tragically passed away from sudden cardiac arrest on July 23, 2023, while working out.
• Brugada Syndrome: Following his passing, we learned that Sam had a genetic mutation known as Brugada Syndrome.
• Athletic Background: Sam was a three-sport athlete in high school and played college baseball.
• His Legacy: He is survived by his fiancée, Mackenzie, and their son, Beau Samuel.

Event Goals

• Community Support: This event, with your participation and support, will not only honor Sam's legacy.
• Charitable Impact: The event will also make a meaningful impact by supporting the Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation.
• Scholarship Fund: A scholarship established in Sam's name at Northern Burlington County Regional High School.
