Acuity Eye 5k

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

We’re back! After two previous races at a local park, the Acuity Eye 5k is back for good and moving locations.

📍 Race Location

The 5k will be held starting at Commerce Township Hall and we will run on the beautiful DDA trails.

• Trail Type: A mix of pavement and crushed asphalt.
• Scenery: Runs through the marshlands off of Martin Parkway.

Prizes will be back again in a big way!

• Winners: Free Ray Ban sunglasses for male and female winners.
• Age Group: Special sunglass medals for age group winners.
• Bonus: $100 Acuity Eye Care gift card for anyone that beats our optometrist, Dr. Edwin Gay.
• Registration Perk: All participants that sign up by 8/15 receive a long sleeve T shirt.

💰 Charity Support

100% of race collections will be donated to VOSH. Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity takes eye doctors to third world countries to provide great eye care to people in need.

• Donation Transparency: The cost to put on the race is donated.
• Contribution: Every dollar you put towards the race goes directly to charity.

🕒 Race Information

To beat the heat, the race will start at 8:30 am. Water, snacks, awards, and giveaways to follow.

👶 Kids Dash

There will be a free and short (~0.25 mile) kids dash 10 minutes before the 5k available to kids age 0-10.

⚠️ Safety Precautions

Pay attention and use caution near wet areas and any vehicle barrier posts on the trail (those will be marked).
