What is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?

• Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
• Honor: We honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

• Community Impact: This will be our 5th year in Trinity/Pasco, and we are excited to bring together the community to honor first responders and military, to remember 9/11, and to raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation's programs.

How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?

• Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles) to walk or run this event.
• Inclusivity: Anyone of any age can run, walk, or experience this event.

Packet Pickup Information

• Pre-Race Pickup: Pre-race packet pickup will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at StretchLAB, 18875 SR-54 W, Lutz, FL 33558.
• Race-Day Pickup: Race-day packet pickup at the race site starts at 7:00 am.

Registration Details

• Same-Day Registration: Yes. Online registration will remain open until 8:30am the morning of the run.
• T-Shirt Size: Those who wait to register on the day of the race are not guaranteed their t-shirt size. Register early!
• Virtual Registration: If registered as virtual, your packet cannot be mailed. Someone else can pick it up on your behalf during Packet Pickup.
• Registration Closure: Online registration will remain open until the start of the race at 8:30am.

Event Logistics

• Parking: Yes, there is parking available.
• Bib Display: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
• Fast Runners: Runners predicting a pace faster than a 7 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral (arrive early).

Awards and Amenities

• Finisher Medals: Yes, finisher medals will be given to all participants.
• Chip Timing: The event will be chip timed.
• Water Availability: Yes, a water station will be available along the route and there will be water available at the start/finish.

What to Bring

• Allowed Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are encouraged.
• Prohibited Items: Roller blades and bicycles are not permitted on the course.
• Personal Items: Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle. All items should be stored securely at the owner's risk.

Additional Information

• Pets: Friendly dogs are allowed to participate with you in the race.
• Registration Fees: Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.
• Packet Pickup by Others: Yes, someone else can pick up your packet if they present a copy of your registration receipt.

• Post-Race Donations: Yes. Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.
