🌍 Purpose of the Race

Steps for Safe Water 5K is a run to show solidarity with those who struggle to access safe water worldwide.

Access Issue: On average, people travel more than 3 miles to access water.
Safety Concerns: Usually, it still isn't safe to drink.
Disproportionate Impact: Women and children are disproportionately affected by the challenges this poses.
Barriers: This creates barriers to education and upward mobility.
