Salt Springs Field, Forest & Falls Trail Races

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The rugged trail race you know and love is back for its 13th year in 2025! Participants can choose from a 5K, 10K or 50K option. All courses are technical trails through a beautiful old-growth forest with spectacular scenery.

🌳 Course Options

• 5K Course: The 5K will feature a course that is almost entirely on trail.
• 10K Course: The 10K course includes a flat, fast section featuring the beautiful Wetlands trail as you run past fields and streams. You'll still get your 3 steep climbs, technical descents, and stunning sights.
• 50K Challenge: For those who really want a challenge, register for the 50K. This gnarly and beautiful course will be 5 loops on the 10K course, totaling 7,000+ feet of elevation gain.

🏕️ Race Day Experience

• Variety: All three courses will throw a little bit of everything at you: steep climbs, fast runnable single track, and technical descents. This event is true PA trail running.
• Community: Stick around after your race to enjoy food, beverages, and camaraderie. More details to come.
• Timing: All races will be chip timed by Falcon Race Timing.
• Shirt Deadline: Deadline to order a race shirt is TUESDAY, AUGUST 12, 2025. Limited sizes may be available for purchase the day of.

🌲 Beneficiary

This race is to benefit the Friends of Salt Springs Park, which is an entirely volunteer-run entity (the only State Park run by volunteers in PA!), to help maintain and conserve the beautiful trails we get to spend the day on. Consider adding a donation!

🏞️ 50K Specifics

• Aid Stations: There will be a fully stocked aid station at the start of each loop (approximately every 6.5 miles).
• Nutrition: Any fueling or nutrition outside of that or needed on course will need to be carried with you.
• Personal Items: You will be able to leave any personal items/drop bag at the aid station area.
• Cutoffs: Runners must start their last lap no later than 4:00 pm. The 50K course cutoff is 6:30 pm sharp.

⚖️ Refund Policy

Things happen. We get that. We have a no refund policy, but if you let us know of your plans 30 days before the race, we will defer your entry. No refunds or deferrals within 30 days of the event.
