About this race

History

Event: Three Creeks Torrent Trail Runs is a race sponsored by Columbia Track Club.
Location: Takes place at Three Creeks Conservation Area, about ten minutes south of Columbia, Missouri.
Historical Significance: The land was originally largely owned and worked in 40 and 80 acre parcels purchased by freed slaves following the Civil War.
Preservation: Some former homesteads are even still visible today.

Distance: The course is an approximate 10 mile loop.
Terrain: About 80% single track trail and 20% jeep/gravel road.
Challenges: There are approximately ten creek crossings per loop, ensuring you will get wet.
Elevation: There is about 950 feet of elevation gain per loop.

Location: Three Creeks Conservation Area trailhead at the end of Deer Park Road (Three Creeks Parking).

50K: 8 hours to complete.
20 miles: 7 hours to complete.
10 mile: 6 hours to complete.
Final Loop Start: 20 mile runners must start their final loop by 11:30 a.m., and 50K runners by 12:30 p.m.

Stations: 2 aid stations stocked with a variety of food, water and drinks.
Facilities: Two port-a-potties will be available at the start/finish area and another at Tomlin Hill aid station.
Drop Bags: 50K and 20 mile racers can leave a drop bag at the start for access before their second and third loops.
Note: This will be a cup free event. All runners must carry a water bottle or hydration pack.

Costs: $70 for the 50K, $59 for the 20-mile, $54 for the 10-mile run or 10-mile ruck.
Deadline: Please register by February 8 to guarantee a shirt and special finisher item.
Price Increases: Registration prices will increase by $10 per race on February 9, 2027, and again by $10 per race on March 7, 2027.
No Registration: There will be no race day registration and no refunds.

Course: Ruck participants will cover the same 10-mile course as the runners.
Weight: Must carry a minimum of 30 pounds for men, and 20 pounds for women.
Check: Packs will be checked at the start and finish.
Trekking Poles: Allowed during the race.

Date: Packet pickup will be Friday, March 12, 2027 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Tryathletics, 1605 Chapel Hill Rd, Columbia.
Race Day: Packets will be available after 6:00 a.m. at the race site.
Check-In: All participants must check in at Race Headquarters on race day.
Parking: Limited on race day: car pooling is encouraged.

Dates: Transfers open on March 1, 2027, and end on March 11, 2027.
Options: Two options available: Transfer Registration as a Gift or Transfer for Refund.
Refund Process: Transfer must register and pay for the race before the refund is issued.
