Three Creeks Torrent Trail Runs

🏞️ History

• Race Sponsor: Columbia Track Club
• Location: Three Creeks Conservation Area, about ten minutes south of Columbia, Missouri.
• Historical Significance: Land was originally worked in 40 and 80 acre parcels purchased by freed slaves following the Civil War.
• Visible Homesteads: Some former homesteads are still visible today.

🏃 Course

• Distance: Approximately 10 mile loop.
• Terrain Breakdown: About 80% single track trail and 20% jeep/gravel road.
• Creek Crossings: Approximately ten creek crossings per loop.
• Elevation Gain: About 950 feet per loop.

⏰ Start Time

• Date: Saturday, March 14, 2026
• 50K Start: 7:00 a.m.
• 20 Miles Start: 8:00 a.m.
• 10 Mile & 10 Mile Ruck Start: 9:00 a.m.

⏳ Time Limit

• 50K: 8 hours
• 20 Mile: 7 hours
• 10 Mile: 6 hours
• Loop Cutoff: 20 mile runners must start their final loop by 11:30 a.m. and 50K by 12:30 p.m.

💧 Aid

• Stations: 2 aid stations (Start/finish at Deer Park Road trailhead and Tomlin Hill trailhead).
• Facilities: Stocked with a variety of food, water, and drinks.
• Restrooms: Two port-a-potties at the start/finish area and another at the Tomlin Hill aid station.
• Cup Free: This will be a cup-free event: all participants must carry a water bottle or hydration pack.

💵 Entry

• Registration Fees: $70 for 50K, $59 for 20 miles, $54 for 10 mile run or ruck.
• Shirt Deadline: Sign up by February 10 to guarantee a shirt and a finishing special item.
• Price Increase: Prices will increase on January 5, 2026, by $5 per race.
• Limitations: No race day registration or refunds: limited to 135 competitors for all races combined.

🪖 Ruck Qualifications

• Course: Ruck participants will cover the same 10-mile course as runners, starting at 9:00 AM.
• Finish Time: Six hours to finish, whether hiking, running, or crawling.
• Weight Requirements: Minimum 30 pounds for men, 20 pounds for women, not including water or food.
• Equipment: Trekking poles are allowed: packs must be weighed before and after the race.

📦 Packet-Pickup/Check-In

• Location: Race Headquarters at the Deer Park Road trailhead.
• Pickup Time: Friday, March 13, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Tryathletics, 1605 Chapel Hill Rd, Columbia.
• Race Day Pickup: Available after 6:00 a.m. on race day.
• Carpooling: Parking on race day is limited: carpooling is strongly encouraged.

🍽️ Post-Race

• Food: Available as runners finish: bib number required for a meal.
• Marking: Someone will mark your bib after you’ve eaten.

🔄 Transfer to Another Event

• Deadline: Runners can transfer until Thursday, March 12, 2026.
• Instructions: Instructions are available at transfer instructions.
• Changes: Changing distance after the race starts results in a DNF.

🔄 Transfer to Another Runner

• Transfer Period: From 3/1/26 to 3/12/26.
• Options: Transfer as a gift or for a refund.
• Refund Instructions: Transfer will have to register and pay before a refund is issued.
