Suicide Awareness Prevention/Postvention Walk

Event Overview

The Suicide Awareness Prevention/Postvention Walk is scheduled for 2026-09-12 at Brookfield High School Track, Brookfield, OH.

Organization Mission

• Support Provision: Grief and Loss In Motion provides support to those who have lost someone to suicide.
• Trainings Offered: Suicide Prevention trainings for the general community, businesses, organizations, clubs, motorcycle clubs, teams, and more.
• Local Outreach: We are the 501c3 home to the Trumbull County LOSS (Local Outreach to Survivors of Suicide loss) Team.
• Immediate Support: The team is dispatched by the coroner’s office to the scenes of suicides to provide immediate support to those left behind.

Expanded Services

• Traumatic Loss Response: We have begun dispatching to traumatic losses as needed.
• Support Groups: We continue to offer suicide loss specific support groups.
• Grief Education: We provide grief education and general grief support groups.
• Makerspace Programs: Our makerspace serves to provide Maker:Grief programming for individuals seeking a creative component on their grief journey.

Empowerment and Funding

• Awareness Programs: We created Maker Empowerment Method programs for mental health awareness, reframing our failures at lessons in learning.
• Expansion Efforts: Recently received funding to begin programming in Mercer and Lawrence counties with our Survivors of Suicide Attempt Support group.
• Local Focus: All funds stay local to assist in continuing our mission.
