2025 DIII Inlet Walk for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Date: Saturday August 30, 2025
• Time: 8:30 am Walk Start Time
• Start Location: Walk Starting Line - Townsends Inlet: 8th Street Beach
• Finish Location: Hereford Inlet or Windrift Beach at 79th Street, Avalon, NJ

❤️ Honoring Our Dad

• Tradition: Several years ago Bridget started walking from Townsends Inlet to Hereford Inlet (approx 10 miles) as an end of summer tradition.
• Family Support: Through the years, other family members and good friends joined the walk.
• Finish Line Presence: Every year our Dad was at the finish line quietly cheering us on - plus he was our ride home!
• In Memory: This year we will do our annual trek in honor of our Dad, Dennis J. McNichol, III “aka DIII.”

💙 Supporting Pediatric Research

• Benefit: All funds raised will directly benefit the Resnick and Storm laboratory at CHOP.
• Focus: Research in the lab is dedicated to pediatric brain tumors and their developmental biology.
• Therapies: The lab is committed to developing novel targeted therapies for the youngest patients affected by brain cancer.
• Personal Connection: Dr. Jay Storm served as an instrumental resource during our Dad’s brain cancer diagnosis.

• Participation: All participation is welcome!
• Options: Join us for the entire trek, part of the walk, or for the 11:30 am post-walk social.
• Location: The social will take place at the Windrift.
• Celebration: We will gather in celebration of DIII, toast, reminisce, laugh, and likely cry...
