The Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation will be hosting the third annual Always Ready 5K on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
👟 5K Run
Chip Timed: Instant results by South Jersey Race Timing. Awards: Top 3 M/f Overall and Age Groups. Shirts: Guaranteed for registrations by September 30. Finishers: Receive a commemorative Always Ready Challenge Coin.
🐕 Always Ready K9 Race
2 Legged Guides: Required for four-legged friends. Medal: Blue Line K9 Champion Medal for each finisher. Bandana: Always Ready K9 Bandana for all participants. Details: Blue Line K9 partnership.
🏃♀️ Virtual 5K
Timeframe: Entire month of October. Swag: Bib, Always Ready T-shirt, and Challenge Coin. Note: Virtual packets mailed after the in-person race on 10/12.
🗺️ Courses
5K Route: Harborview Park, Cape May to Coast Guard Training Center. K9 Route: Follows 5K route but turns before entering the training center.

Founded in 2015, the mission of the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation is to nurture the relationship between Coast Guard members and their families and the people of Cape May County. The foundation partners with Cape May County and community partners throughout the year to present activities honoring Coast Guard members.
Second Capital Running produces races in South Jersey, aiming to foster community action and leadership through running. They collaborate with the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation for events in Cape May.
