- USATF Certified: The Sterbenz Miles of Smiles 5K is officially certified (code NJ23046JLW).
- World Athletics Certified: Course also certified by World Athletics (USA-2023-209).
- Course Details: One loop is exactly 2.5km.
- Loop Completion: Runners will complete the loop twice and follow the alternative finish path.
About the Event
- Inaugural Event: The Sterbenz Run for Abilities was created in 2020 by Paul and James Sterbenz.
- COVID Response: A desire to replace cancelled running events while raising needed funds.
- Fundraising Success: Raised nearly $12,000 through the inaugural event.
- Inclusivity: The Sterbenz Miles of Smiles was created in 2022 and is inclusive of all abilities.
