Event Description

• Theme: Get ready to Run for the Pickles!
• Fun for All: A one-of-a-kind race event for runners, walkers, and pickle lovers alike!
• Course Details: The 5K course winds through scenic campus trails, and the 2K offers a relaxed, pet-friendly walk.
• Registration Perks: Participants who register by September 13th will receive a custom race shirt, a unique finisher medal, and a pickle-themed treat at the finish line!

• Start Time: 5K and Pup Strut start at 11 AM

How it Works

• Participant Gifts: T-shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed to the first 250 people who register.
• Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided.
• Pet Participation: Friendly, four-legged participants are welcome to join!
• Costumes: Costumes are encouraged for the event.

Course Certification

• Certification: USATF-Certified (code NJ23046JLW) and World Athletics (USA-2023-209).
• Course Details: Runners will complete a loop of 2.5km twice, following an alternative finish path.

About the Event

• History: The Sterbenz Run for Abilities started in 2020 to raise funds for Abilities of Northwest Jersey Inc. amid the COVID pandemic.
• Success Story: Paul and James Sterbenz raised nearly $12,000 by completing a 27-mile marathon in 2020.
• Expansion: The event evolved to include participants of all abilities, including runners, walkers, rollers, strollers, and even pets!
