5th Annual School Spirit Run & Kids Run

SCHOOL SPIRIT RUN @ SEAWORLD ORLANDO

Come together with your friends and family (or fellow alumni!) and run, skip, jog or stroll through the 5th Annual School Spirit Run at SeaWorld Orlando on Saturday, February 7, 2026! Participants can enjoy the sights, sounds and everything SeaWorld has to offer as you're traveling around the park’s picturesque pathways and right through the iconic Sesame Street neighborhood. The course is approximately 3 miles in distance!

KIDS FUN RUN

This event is sure to be a hit with the whole family: we’re even featuring a FREE Kids Fun Run for participants ages 7 and under following the School Spirit Run!

• Community Celebration: This event celebrates our community’s schools and all things “school spirit.”
• Support Local Education: Proceeds from the run benefit the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools.
• Mission: Their mission is to identify, develop, and focus community involvement and investment to lead our students to success.

EVENT MORNING TIMELINE

• 6:00am: Registration and Packet Pickup opens (near SeaWorld main entrance).
• 7:00am: Parking lot closes - please plan to be onsite at least 45 minutes prior to race start.
• 7:15am: START of the School Spirit Run (approximately 3 miles & walkers will start behind the runners).
• 8:30am: FREE Kid's Run will start.

AMENITIES

• Finisher Medal: Fun themed finisher's medal for 2026.
• Race T-shirt: School Spirit Run Race T-shirt (cotton unisex).
• Entertainment: SeaWorld theme park entertainment along the course.
• Free Parking: FREE Race Day parking.

RACE T-SHIRTS

All participants who register for the School Spirit Run and Kids Run will receive a 100% ringspun soft cotton unisex t-shirt. Please register by January 15, 2026 to guarantee availability of the correct t-shirt size!

FINISHER MEDALS

All PAID participants will receive a custom School Spirit Run themed finisher medal that participate in the Fun Run event! The race will be capped at 4,000 race participants!

FUN RUN AWARDS

Awards will go to the top 3 overall Male and Female finishers only in the School Spirit Run event. There will be a clock at the finish line for everyone to see their finish times. And it’s not just about how fast you can finish: there will also be age-leveled prizes for most school spirit, best mascot (come in your best costume!), best rivalry challenge, school with the largest number of registrants, and more!

WEATHER

Races will be held rain or shine, however, if there is severe weather in the area the race start may be delayed or cancelled. As a reminder, registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

SAFETY RULES

In order to ensure safety of all runners, bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates, baby carriers and dogs are prohibited from the race course. It is VERY important for you to stay alert throughout the race, stay inside cones and obey all race signage. Jogging strollers are permitted but must start in the back.

REGISTRATION FEES

• For those 13 years & Up:
  • $35.00 through 1/12/26
  • $40.00 1/13/26 - 2/6/26 closes at 6pm
  • $45.00 Day of the race (if not sold out)
• For those 12 years & Under:
  • $20.00 through 1/12/2026
  • $25.00 1/13/26 - 2/6/26 closes at 6pm
  • $30.00 Day of the race (if not sold out)

RACE DAY REGISTRATION

$45.00 per registration those 13 & Up OR $30.00 per registration for those 12 & Under (We will only accept credit card payments on race day via Runsignup).

STROLLERS

Strollers are allowed in the School Spirit Run event. Nurturing future generations of runners is a priority and demonstrating healthy lifestyles to our kids is special. We do ask those registrants participating with a stroller to line up the after the runners & walkers at the start line. Please listen for directions on where to line up on the day of the race.

KIDS FUN RUN

Following the 3 Mile Fun Run event, we will host a FREE Kids Fun Run & Dash! All kids must be registered and you can do that on race day at the Registration table. All Kids who participate will receive a Kids Run Finisher item! Distances will vary between ages, ranging from a 50-yard dash to a 200-yard dash.

EARLY PACKET PICKUP & TEAM BOX DELIVERY

*Schools that have over 75 registered participants will have their race box of items brought to them personally by the team from FOCPS! To be included in this box, you must REGISTER by Monday, January 26th!

• WHEN: Tuesday, February 3rd will be Team Box Pickup Day only.
• Wednesday, February 4th - Friday, February 6th: race packets will be available for all individuals and teams.
• LOCATION: Foundation for Orange County Public Schools office, 445 W Amelia Street on the 9th floor, Orlando, FL 32801.
• TIME:
  • Tuesday, February 3rd - Thursday, February 5th: 9AM - 4PM
  • Friday, February 6th: 9AM - 1PM

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

You can opt to pick up your packet at SeaWorld Orlando on Race Day beginning at 6:00AM. However, please do allow additional time to pick up your packet on race day due to parking and potentially long lines.

* REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED AFTER 1PM ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6th will have to be picked on race day at the race site on FEBRUARY 7TH beginning at 6:00a.m.*
