Event Overview

Join us for the Warrior Dash 5K, a race with heart, purpose, and the spirit of true warriors! All proceeds from this event will directly support the Alabama Warriors, the adult goalball team based at E. H. Gentry, a division of Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB).

About Goalball

• Sport Description: Goalball is a unique and competitive team sport designed specifically for athletes who are blind or visually impaired.
• Gameplay: Using a ball embedded with bells, players rely on sound, communication, and teamwork to defend their goal and score against their opponents.
• Benefits: It’s a fast-paced, inspiring sport that builds confidence, strength, and community.
• Contribution: Your participation will help the Alabama Warriors thrive by funding essential needs such as uniforms, athletic shoes, travel expenses for tournaments, and equipment for practice and training.

• Early Bird Registration: Register now for $25 — available until December 30 at 11:59 PM.
• Registration Increase: After this deadline, registration will increase to $30.

Awards Information

We'll be recognizing outstanding performances with awards in the following categories:

• Overall Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Male and Female.
• Age Group Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Male and Female in the following divisions: 0–9, 10–14, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, 75–79, 80+

Event Policies

• Weather Policy: Rain or Shine Event – In the event of extreme weather, registration fees will be considered a donation. No refunds.
• T-Shirts: Participants who register by January 1, 2027 are guaranteed an event T-shirt. Don’t miss out!
