Warrior Dash 5K

Event Overview

Join us for the Warrior Dash 5K, a race with heart, purpose, and the spirit of true warriors! All proceeds from this event will directly support the Alabama Warriors, the adult goalball team based at E. H. Gentry, a division of Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB).

Goalball is a unique and competitive team sport designed specifically for athletes who are blind or visually impaired. Using a ball embedded with bells, players rely on sound, communication, and teamwork to defend their goal and score against their opponents. It’s a fast-paced, inspiring sport that builds confidence, strength, and community.

Purpose of the Event

Your participation will help the Alabama Warriors thrive by funding essential needs such as:

• Uniforms: Needed for team identity and representation.
• Travel Expenses: To cover costs for tournaments.
• Equipment: Essential gear for practice and training.
• Community Support: Building a strong network around our athletes.

Every step you take in this race brings us closer to creating more opportunities for these incredible athletes to compete and grow in the sport they love.

Registration Information

💲: Early Bird Registration:

• Price: Register now for $25 — available until December 31 at 11:59 PM.
• Post-Deadline Price: After this deadline, registration will increase to $30.
• Take Action: Don’t wait — secure your spot today and save!

Awards Information

We’ll be recognizing outstanding performances with awards in the following categories:

• Overall Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Male and Female.
• Age Group Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Male and Female in these divisions:
• Divisions: 0–9, 10–14, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, 75–79, 80+.

Event Details

🌦: Rain or Shine Event – In the event of extreme weather, registration fees will be considered a donation. No refunds.

👕: T-Shirts:

• Guarantee: Participants who register by December 19, 2025, are guaranteed an event T-shirt. Don’t miss out!
