Event Overview

• Participation: Runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels are invited to enjoy a fun, fast and beautiful course in Salem, Oregon.
• Post-Race: Enjoy music and awards, cheer on our kids race runners and enjoy award-winning Oregon wines and craft beer!

Event Start Times

• 8:00 am: Half Marathon
• 8:05 am: 10K
• 8:10 am: 5K
• 10:30 am: Kids Fun Run (untimed 0.4 mile run or walk)

What's Included

• Official Race Shirt
• Special Finisher Medal
• Finisher Party: Live music and award winning Oregon beer, wine & cider
• Awards: Overall awards for top three male and female finishers, as well as age group awards

Key Event Details

• Course Restrictions: Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course.
• Timing: All Race Courses are set to end at 12:30 PM. Half Marathon participants must complete the event in under 4 hours and 30 minutes.
• Packet Pickup: Taking place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Pre-Race Offerings: Morning packet pickup, coffee, water, and bananas for participants.

Packet Pickup Locations

• Friday (9/11/26): 4-8 pm at Willamette Valley Vineyards
• Saturday (9/12/26): 1-5 pm at Gallagher Fitness Resources
• Sunday (9/13/26): 6-7:45 am at Riverfront Park
• Note: Please consider utilizing Friday & Saturday packet pickup options.

Post-Race Activities

• Complimentary: 5-ounce pour from Willamette Valley Vineyards or a 12 oz glass of craft beer or cider.
• Food: Variety of food offerings from local food trucks available for purchase.
• Awards: Overall and age group finishers will receive awards.

Parking Information

• Street Parking: Use street parking in Downtown Salem and downtown parking garages.
• Carousel Parking: The Riverfront park Carousel Parking lot fills quickly.
• Timing: Day-of packet pickup ends at 7:50 am. The race will begin on time.

Awards

• Categories: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given for overall winners and master's winners (age 40+).
• Age Groups: Awards for the following categories: 19 and Under, 20 - 29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.

Cherry City Team Competition

• Teams: Register as part of a team/group to compete for team awards in all race distances.
• Run Clubs: Local/community Run Clubs are encouraged to connect with us for possible special offers.

Volunteering

• Importance: Volunteer support is vital for the event's success.
• Opportunity: If you cannot participate, consider volunteering on race day.
