🤝 Event Overview

• Community Event: Grab your favorite pair of sneakers and join us at our 5th Annual Be A Blessing 5K &: 1M Fun Run, a community-wide, family friendly event.
• Beneficiary: Proceeds go toward purchasing food for over 2000 NAFCS preK - 6th grade children in need on the weekends.
• All Abilities: The event is open to all abilities and is not a timed event. You can walk, jog, run, or stroll the course at your own pace.
• Finisher Medals: Each participant will receive a finishers medal and an Official Be A Blessing Race Shirt (while supplies last).

🎉 New This Year

• Fundraising Pages: Participants can create personalized fundraising pages to help feed more kids than ever before.
• Event ID: Your fundraising page will have a unique Event ID to reach out to your contacts.
• Donate Option: Can't make it on race day? You can still donate or become a fundraiser.
• Impact of Donations: 100% of all donations go to covering the cost of food for children weekly.

🏫 About Blessings in a Backpack Floyd County

• Mission: An initiative dedicated to alleviating childhood hunger in Floyd County, Indiana.
• Food Insecurity: Just under 1 in 6 Floyd County children face food insecurity.
• Support: Provides meals over weekends for students in need, ensuring they can return to school ready to learn.
• Reach: Serves children at all 9 NAFCS elementary schools and 3 middle schools.

• Registration Deadline: Online registration closes Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:59 PM.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

Friday, October 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at:

🏃 Race Day

• Packet Pickup: If you missed packet pick-up, you can collect it at the registration booth starting at 7:30 AM.
• Morning Registration: Available but only cash or check will be accepted.
• Race Day Fees: $40 for adults and $20 for kids 18 and under.
• Shirt Availability: Shirts only available while supplies last.

📸 Photo Release

By registering &: participating in the Be A Blessing 5K &: 1M Fun Run, you consent to photographs/videos of you being used for promotional purposes by Blessings in a Backpack Floyd County.

🚫 Cancellation & Refund Policy

A little rain won’t stop us! We will delay only for lightning. If canceled due to severe weather, all participants will automatically become virtual runners.
