Event Overview

• Join us: Grab your favorite pair of sneakers and join us at our 5th Annual Be A Blessing 5K & 1M Fun Run, a community-wide, family friendly event.
• Purpose: Proceeds from the Be A Blessing 5K & 1M Fun Run go toward purchasing food for over 2000 NAFCS preK - 6th grade children in need on the weekends.
• All abilities welcome: The event is not a timed event. You can walk, jog, run, or stroll the course at your own pace.
• Participants rewards: Each participant will receive a finisher's medal and an Official Be A Blessing Race Shirt. To guarantee your shirt size, you must be registered by Wednesday, October 8th.

Be a Fundraiser!

• Fundraising page: After registering, a personalized fundraising page will be created for you, allowing you to share your story.
• Easy outreach: Your fundraising page will include a unique Event ID to reach out to your contacts for support.
• Make a difference: Friends and family can support your efforts from anywhere.
• 100% of donations: All funds will go towards covering food costs for children, with a prize for the top individual fundraiser.

About Blessings in a Backpack Floyd County

• Mission: An initiative dedicated to alleviating childhood hunger in Floyd County, Indiana.
• Impact: Just under 1 in 6 Floyd County children face food insecurity.
• Support: Ensuring students don’t go hungry over the weekend with the help of donations.
• Coverage: Services provided to children at all 9 NAFCS elementary and 3 middle schools in the district.

Awards

• Finisher medals: Awarded to all participants (while supplies last).
• Top Individual Fundraiser: The individual raising the most funds will win an award.
• Largest Team Award: Given to the team with the most registered members before race day.

Race Day

• Packet pick-up: Available at the registration booth starting at 7:30AM.
• Same-day registration: Registration available, cash or check only. Prices are $40 for adults and $20 for kids under 18.
• Shirts: Available while supplies last.

Photo Release

By registering and participating in the Be A Blessing 5K & 1M Fun Run, you consent to photographs/videos being used for promotional purposes by Blessings in a Backpack Floyd County.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

A little rain won’t stop us! We will only delay for lightning. If canceled due to severe weather, an announcement will be made via Facebook. All registered participants will become virtual runners.
