Event Details

Race Format

Taking place at beautiful George Wyth State Park, Death by 5k requires participants to run (or walk) ten 5ks over 24 hours, starting each 5k 2.5 hours apart.

• Start Times: 8 am, 10:30 am, 1 pm, 3:30 pm, 6 pm, 8:30 pm, 11 pm, 1:30 am, 4 am, 6:30 am
• Course: Out and back on the Cedar Valley Lakes Trail (paved)

Nourishment

There will be 5 meals, each including hot food, served over the course of the event. Meal times will be:

• Meal Times: 8:30 am, 1:30 pm, 6:30 pm, 11:30 pm, 4:20 am
• Snacks: Plenty of snack food and drinks available throughout the event.

Participant Amenities

Participants can spend time between 5ks in various accommodations.

• Options: Camping tent, hammock, under a pop-up tent, or in their vehicles.
• Swag: Participants will receive an event shirt and other event swag.
• Finishers: Receive a coveted handmade finisher's coffin.

Registration Information

Initial registration will be limited to 150 participants.

• Waitlist: A waitlist will be opened after initial registration.
• Additional Slots: Additional participants may be selected if slots are opened.
