3rd Annual Porterville 5K/10K Trail Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

On 4/12/2025, the Porterville Military Academy athletic department is hosting a 5k/10k run/walk starting and finishing at Porterville Military Academy. Join us for a 5k or 10k dirt path course that is out and back. We are also hosting a children's 1/4 mile short course for your little ones to get in on the action. We look forward to seeing your whole family enjoy this community event.

🎽 Free Items for Participants

All 5k race participants will receive for FREE:

• Custom race t-shirt: A themed shirt to commemorate your participation.
• Finisher Medal: A medal to celebrate your achievement.
• Chip time and digital certificate: Official timing and an online certificate.
• Race bib with individual number: Your personal identifier for the race.
• Upbeat motivational music: Enjoy music to keep you energized during the event.
• Free Parking: Convenient parking options available.

All kids 1/4 mile participants will receive for FREE:

• Custom race t-shirt: A t-shirt just for our young runners.
• Finisher medal: A special medal to celebrate their participation.

🏆 Age Group Winners

The top three males and the top three females in each age group will be rewarded with a prize after the race! The prize is still being worked on and will be posted here as soon as the artwork comes back. The age groups are:

• 1-10: For our youngest runners.
• 11-19: For teenagers in the race.
• 20-29: Young adults ready to race.
• 30-39: Participants in their thirties.
• 40-49: Competitors in their forties.
• 50-59: Runners in their fifties.
• 60-69: Seasoned athletes in their sixties.
• 70-79: Runners in their seventies.
• 80+: Participants aged eighty and above.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Place: Porterville Military Academy front office.
• Date: 4/9/2025 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
• Date: 4/11/2025 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
• Morning of event: You can come from 6:30 AM - 7:45 AM.

Virtual Race - If you live locally, you are encouraged to come to packet pickup. Otherwise, the race medal will be mailed to you after the race. We do not store any unclaimed race packets after the race. If you do not pick up your packet prior to the race, then it is considered forfeited. Leftover supplies are donated to volunteers and local charities.

💙 Who We Support

• The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA): An international organization with over 200,000 members. EAA chapters provide a community for pilots and aviation enthusiasts. The Porterville EAA Chapter 1547 has supported Porterville Military Academy Cadets in multiple facets by providing scholarships, overseeing more than 150 Porterville Military Academy Cadets flying an airplane, and mentoring our future aviators on the theories of flight.
