Sebastian Scream 5K & Haunted Rail Trail

🎃 Event Overview

Indian River County First Responders are excited to present the Inaugural SEBASTIAN SCREAM 5K &: HAUNTED RAIL TRAIL.

🤝 Why it Matters

• Support Services: Proceeds from this event will directly support counseling services, peer-support programs, and critical stress debriefing initiatives for our local Police, Sheriff, Fire and EMS personnel.

🏃‍♂️ Race Information

• T-shirt: Each race participant will receive a Sebastian 5K &: Haunted Rail Trail T-shirt while supplies last. Register by October 6th for a guaranteed shirt.
• Haunted Trail Ticket: Each race participant will receive (1) ticket to the Haunted Rail Trail (Haunted Trail may be too intense for young children).
• Costume Contest: Award for best costume.
• Movie Screening: The Indian River County Parks and Recreation Department will start showing "The Nightmare Before Christmas" on the big screen at the pool beginning at 4:00pm.
• Trunk-or-Treat: Join us after the race at the North County Aquatic Center while the Indian River County Parks and Recreation Department hosts Trunk-or-Treat.

Friday, October 24, 2025

• 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM: Early Packet Pick Up &: Registration at Runners Depot Vero Beach (436 21st St, Vero Beach).

Saturday, October 25, 2025

• 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Packet Pick Up &: Registration at Runners Depot Vero Beach (436 21st St, Vero Beach).
• 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM: Packet Pick Up &: Registration at North County Aquatic Center (9450 County Rd. 512).
• 4:00 PM: "The Nightmare Before Christmas" starts at the North County Aquatic Center.
• 5:00 PM: 5K Race Start (Race proceeds west from the North County Aquatic Center to I-95 and returns to the North County Aquatic Center).
• 6:00 PM: Awards.
• 6:00 PM: Trunk-or-Treat begins and lasts until the Trunks are empty (Free Entry for Trunk-or-Treat).
• 6:30 PM: Haunted Rail Trail Opens. Haunted Rail Trail begins at North County Aquatic Center and travels east 3/4 miles. Transportation will be provided back to the North County Aquatic Center. No MASKS, BAGS, or Halloween Props are allowed to be worn or carried on the trail.
• 10:00 PM: Haunted Rail Trail Ends.

• Cost: $35 ($40 on race day).
