Join us for a powerful morning of movement, community, and purpose at the inaugural Courage to Thrive 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser. Whether you're walking, jogging, or running—your steps will support something much bigger than the finish line.

🎯 What It’s About

• Host: The Courage to Thrive, an upstart organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by cancer.
• Proceeds: All proceeds will go toward helping participants access integrative cancer conferences, healing workshops, and unconventional testing not typically covered by insurance.
• Goal: To remove financial barriers and provide hope through education, empowerment, and healing resources.
• Disclaimer: The Courage to Thrive is in the process of applying to become a non-profit, but is NOT currently a 501(c)(3). No donations will be accepted, and any registration fees are not tax deductible.

👥 Who Can Join?

• Open to All: This event is open to all ages and all fitness levels.
• Thrive Tribe: Bring your Thrive Tribe and walk or run in honor of those who have faced cancer, are currently in treatment, or are thriving after diagnosis.

🚗 Event Information: Parking

• Location: The race will begin next to parking lot 25 of Bolsa Chica State Beach, near the intersection of Warner and Pacific Coast Highway 1.
• Directions: The entrance to the State Beach parking lots, including Lot 25, is located approximately 1.5 miles south of the parking lot itself, off Pacific Coast Highway.
• Cost: Parking is $20 per vehicle and can be paid with cash, card, or Apple Pay.
• Arrival: We recommend arriving at least 45–60 minutes before your race start to allow time for parking, bib pickup (if needed), and warm-up.

📅 Registration and Packet Pickup

• Time: Registration and packet pickup (bib, shirt & bag) will be located near the starting line and will open at 7 AM.
• Required: If someone else is picking up your bib, they will need a printed copy of your ID and a printed, signed copy of the waiver which can be downloaded from a provided link.
• Insurance Requirement: No bibs will be given out without these two things. Our insurance company requires us to be strict on this.

🕕 Race Day Timeline

• 6:00 AM: Parking Lots Open.
• 7:30 AM: Registration and Vendor Booths Open.
• 8:30 AM: Warm Up.
• 9:00 AM: 5K Start.
