Event Description

This Veterans Day, be part of something bigger. Lace up for a morning filled with energy, gratitude, and community pride as we honor our nation’s heroes. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or enjoying a fun stroll with family, the West Valley Vet Run has something for everyone!

NEW THIS YEAR: A timed run for those ready to race, plus a relaxed 1-mile run/walk perfect for families and casual runners.

Impact

YOUR RUN MAKES A DIFFERENCE: 100% of proceeds benefit the Dr. Ernest Lara – EMCC Veterans Scholarship Fund, helping student veterans overcome financial barriers to higher education.

Fun Activities

• Family-friendly Activities: The City of Avondale’s Police & Fire Departments will be on-site with interactive, family-friendly activities kids will love!
• Free Treats: Frios will be onsite serving their gourmet popsicles—free for the first 100 guests!
• Coffee Available: Modern Grind will also be present with free coffee and treats!
• Registration Notice: SPOTS FILL FAST! Don’t miss your chance to run, honor, and give back.

Registration

Register now and be part of the tradition that brings our community together every Veterans Day!

We will continue to offer a discount for Veterans and Military participants. Please complete registration, then select the checkbox that certifies you are a Veteran and/or Military participant.

The first 400 Registrants will receive a Finisher's Medal.

No pets are allowed to participate in the run!

Packet Pickup

• Packet Pick Up: Saturday November 8th 10:00AM - 2:00PM @ EMCC (Parking Lot A, in front of Estrella Hall by the book drop)
• Race Day Packet Pick Up: 8:00 AM - 9:00AM. (Packets will NOT be handed out after 9:00AM, NO EXCEPTIONS. We encourage everyone to pick up their packets before the race as per the assigned date and time to do so.)

Race Times

• Start Times: 1 Mile - 9:45AM/5K - 10:00AM
• Veterans Ceremony & Race Placements: 11:00AM @ Estrella North Plaza.
