Salute to Veterans 5K/10K/Half Marathon - Phoenix

Race Overview

Join us at Glendale Heroes Regional Park in Glendale, AZ for the Salute to Veterans 5K/10K/Half Marathon, a meaningful race dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. Whether you’re running in tribute, alongside a veteran, or as a veteran yourself, this event is a powerful way to show gratitude and community support.

Registration Information

• Veterans Registration: All Veterans race for FREE.
• Active Duty Registration: Participants can enter for just $15.
• Family Members: Supporters can join at the regular registration rate.
• ID Required: Any form of government issued Military ID.

Participants and Awards

All participants will receive a fabulous race shirt and a custom finisher medal upon crossing the finish line—because every mile run in honor of our heroes deserves to be celebrated.

• Awards: Presented to Top Three Male and Female Overall finishers in each distance.
• Overall Masters: Awards for Top Three Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters finishers.
• Age Groups: Top three athletes in each traditional five-year age group starting at 10 & Under.
• Support: Come run, walk, and stand in support—because honoring our veterans never goes out of stride.

Registration Fees

• Regular Registration (ends 10/24): 5K: $35, 10K: $40, Half Marathon: $55, Virtual Races: $40, Active Duty: $15, Veterans: FREE.
• Late Registration (ends 10/31): 5K: $37.5, 10K: $42.5, Half Marathon: $57.5.
• Race Day Registration: 5K: $40, 10K: $45, Half Marathon: $60.
• Swag Guarantee: Participants registered by 10/22 are guaranteed race swag in your size.

Awards and Goodies

Participants registered on or by Oct. 27th are guaranteed an awesome shirt! Limited quantity of finisher medals will be ordered.

• Awards: Top 3 Overall M/F, Top 3 Overall Masters M/F, Grand Masters M/F, Senior Masters M/F.
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 in each normal 5-year age group (10 & Under through 80+).

Virtual Running - How It Works

Can't make it out to the event site on race day? You can still participate or support the cause. Here’s how it works:

• Step 1: Sign up and register for the virtual 5K or 10K.
• Step 2: Download your Custom Digital Bib.
• Step 3: Run or walk wherever you choose and share your experience!
• Step 4: Submit your results on RunSignUp.com.

Course & Timing

The courses are thus structured:

• Terrain: Not completely flat, but mostly flat and fast.
• Course Layout: All Courses are out & backs!
• Water Stations: Self-Serve water stations approximately every 1.5 miles.
• Pacing Requirement: Participants will need to finish with at least a 16 min/mile pace.

Groups and Teams

Running is more fun together! Grab friends or family to participate as a team.

• Team Discounts: Teams of 5 or more receive registration discounts.
• Discount Rates: 5+: $2.50 off, 11+: $3.75 off, 21+: $5 off.

Event Courtesy Policy & Refund Policy

• Sportsmanship: Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
• No Refunds: All registrations are final: there are no refunds or transfers.
• Weather Cancellation: Extreme weather may lead to cancellation: no refunds in that case.
• COVID-19 Policy: No refunds if the event shifts to a virtual format due to COVID-19.

Event Schedule

• Oct. 24: Deadline for guaranteed shirt in your size.
• Nov. 1: 7:00 AM - Race Day Check in and Registration opens, 8:00 AM - Race Starts.
