Event Overview
This year, we’re honored to be hosting the 2nd Annual Cathy Nielsen Walk & Talk. Cathy, the beloved sister of our founder, was a fierce supporter of Wings of Hope and our mission. Though she passed away after her own battle with cancer, her spirit of walking, connection, and community lives on through this event.
All of the proceeds from this event go right back into our organization allowing us to continue to provide free support to cancer patients and their families right here in our community.

Our 2026 theme, Butterflies, represents transformation, resilience, hope, and new beginnings—beautiful reminders that healing often takes many forms and that even through life's greatest challenges, growth is possible.

- Fresh Treats: Fresh breakfast pastries from Breeze Bakery
- Coffee: Specialty coffee from a local coffee truck
- Activities: Face painting, sidewalk chalk, live DJ, and family-friendly games
