Detroit Auto Show 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the Detroit Auto Show, and the Friends of the Outdoor Adventure Center team up to bring back the Auto Show 5K!

📅 Event Details

• Date: January 17, 2026
• Time: 9 AM
• Location: Huntington Place - 1 Washington Blvd, Detroit, MI
• Route: The route will take place along the Detroit Riverfront and start/finish outside the doors of the Detroit Auto Show.

🎟️ Ticket Information

All proceeds of the event will help update the exhibits at the Outdoor Adventure Center.

• Discount: Tickets to the Detroit Auto Show (public days) can be purchased at a discount through the 5K event. Tickets are discounted by 25%
• Adult Tickets: $15 ($20 at the door)
• Senior Tickets: $9 ($12 at the door)
• Kid's Tickets: $7.50 ($10 at the door)

Note: Auto Show ticket sales end on January 10 to allow time for pick up.

📦 Packet Pick Up

• Early Packet Pick Up: January 16 from 4 PM until 6 PM at the Outdoor Adventure Center
• Race Day Packet Pick Up: One hour prior to the race start time at Huntington Place.

🏆 Awards

Awards will be given to first place overall and first place in each age category:

• Categories: 14 and under: 15-19: 20-24: 25-29: 30-34: 35-39: 40-44: 45-49: 50-54: 55-59: 60-64: 65-69: 70-74: 75 and up
