🔒 Safety

• Restrictions: No dogs, bicycles, roller skates, or in-line skates on the course.
• Headphones: Use discouraged for safety reasons.
• Strollers: Must stay at the back of the race.

💰 Refund Policy

• Cancellation: Participants will be refunded their entry fee if the race is cancelled.
• Transfer: Registration transfers must be done officially: no sharing of bibs.
• Deadline for Transfers: Must be completed by October 28.
• Responsibility: The LRC is not responsible for identifying individuals for bib exchanges.

• Founded: The race was established in 1977 by Harold Walker and John Scimone.
• Current Records: Male record: 29:53 by Tom Nohilly (1991): Female record: 33:48 by Shelly Steely (1988).
• Significance: Oldest annual race in Polk County.
