MEDVED'S SCARRIER GAMES (FREE!)

👻 Race Overview

BOO.

Medved's special brand of seasonal running nonsense returns with the Halloween-themed Scarrier Games on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025.

We will be haunting Fairport this year.

Join your fellow ghouls and goblins for a spooky hunt at Triphammer Bierworks in The Cannery! Friends from Saucony will be on hand with prizes and demo gear for you to try out.

🎃 The Game

The spooky hunt is a course with checkpoints and challenges. There will be plenty of bat and pumpkin-shaped nonsense to keep things interesting.

🤝 Team Up or Go Solo

New This year, there are 16 team names to choose from, all inspired by iconic 1980s movies. Each team has space for 5-10 players. You'll choose your team name when you register, and that will be your theme for the game.

• Solo Players: You can join any team you want or select the Free Agent team.
• Registration Required: All players must register to participate.
• Meet New People: This year's spooky hunt is a great way to meet new people and make new running friends!
• Team Registration: Teams will fill up fast, so if you and your friends want to run together, you all need to sign up for the same team to secure your spots.

📅 Event Details

Game day check-in will open at 5:30 PM, and the Games will start promptly at 6:15 PM.

(Each team will be required to carry a cell phone and have access to post on the Medved Facebook Group Home Page to earn points)

📜 Game Rules

• Scavenger Hunt: In a choose-your-own-adventure scavenger hunt, runners will earn points by visiting various locations and completing challenges.
• Check-In: You will receive the scavenger hunt list and area map at Scarier Games check-in on game day.
• Point Claiming: To claim your points for each location/challenge, you must post a picture of your entire team at a designated location and post to the Medved Running & Walking Outfitters Group Facebook Group. Please make sure you are a member of this group prior to game day!
• Post Timing: Posts are eligible to earn you points between the designated race time. Any posts after this time will not count.
• Safety Regulations: All participants are required to follow traffic and pedestrian regulations at all times.
• Gear Required: Headlamps & Reflective gear are required to participate.

💰 Bonus Points

• Donations: Earn bonus points by donating to the Verona Street Animal Shelter when you sign up.
• Dress Up: Earn bonus points by dressing up in the theme of your team and the spirit of the games!
• Saucony Shoes: Earn bonus points by wearing Saucony shoes to the Games!
