🏃♂️ Pumpkin Plod 10K Run / 5K Walk
Join us for our 50th anniversary of a Thanksgiving tradition! This 50th annual race is a USATF certified (IN24005TDK) flat and fast 10K course. The 10K is a competitive, chip-timed (T&H Timing) event with the following age divisions for Male & Female:
- Age Divisions: 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, and 5 year increments up to 80+.
- Gold Cup: This event is part of the Calumet Striders 2025 Gold Cup Elite Series.
- Pumpkin Pies: As tradition dictates, pumpkin pies will be presented following the race in the Lincoln Community Center fieldhouse to the top 3 finishers in each age division.
- Awards: The top overall male, top overall female, top masters male (age 40+), and top masters female (age 40+) will receive plaques.
🚶♀️ 5K Walk Information
Walkers are encouraged to join the 5K, which is non-competitive and will not be timed or scored.

Both courses begin at Highway Ave. & Kennedy Ave., loop through the streets of Highland, and finish at Lincoln Center. See course map for details.

Participants will receive a cotton long-sleeve shirt while supplies last.

- Runner (10k): $26 early bird through 10/19 / $33 standard 10/20-11/25 / $40 day-of (cash only)
- Walker (5k): $16 early bird through 10/19 / $23 standard 10/20-11/25 / $30 day-of (cash only)
- Shirt Size Guarantee: Early bird registration guarantees shirt size.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
- 5K Participation: Can I run the 5K? Yes, but it is not timed and there are no prizes.
- Switching Events: If you sign up for the 10K but decide to run the 5K, PLEASE discard your bib.
- Strollers: Are strollers allowed? Yes.*
- Dogs: Are dogs allowed? Yes, but they must be leashed.*
- Extra Shirt: Can I purchase an extra shirt? You would need to register another person to secure an extra shirt. If there are leftover shirts, they will be on sale at Lincoln Community Center the week after the race.
* Participants with strollers or dogs are asked to start in the back of the pack and must not interfere with or impede other participants.
