Run for Your Life

Event Overview

Run for Your Life (RFYL) is an annual charity Fun Run/Walk & Community Fair organized by the students of Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU). First launched in 2011 on the university’s Terrace Heights campus, RFYL has grown into a cherished tradition that brings together students, families, and the greater Yakima community.

Mission and Accessibility

• Commitment: As future health professionals, PNWU students are committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and fostering community well-being.
• Course: RFYL offers a flat, easy course that’s accessible to all ages and fitness levels.
• Inclusivity: The event is designed to be fun and inclusive for everyone.
• Support: All proceeds support PNWU scholarships, helping students from rural and medically underserved areas.

• Check-in Time: 8:00-9:15am
• Race Start: 9:30am

Special Features for Kids

• Free Entry: Kids 11 and Under Run for Free! (Runners' Bib and Giveaway Not Included)
• Pony Race: If your kiddo isn’t quite ready to complete a 5K or 10K, they can join in on the fun with our NEW Pony Race!
• Short-Distance Race: Kids will race down Inspiration Dr. alongside other kids their age.
• Fun Atmosphere: This event is made just for kids!

Vendor Participation

Food Vendors are welcome! If you are interested in participating as a food vendor, please contact the race director.

Parking Information

Follow the signs for parking, which can be found in the North and Northeast lot of Butler Haney Hall.
