Description

• Distance: 2-mile, point-to-point swim.
• Founded: 2017.
• Route: Starts at Henderson Point Boat Launch to the pier of the Bay St. Louis Municipal Harbor.
• Shirts: All participants and volunteers receive a Swim Across the Bay shirt.

Fundraising

• Beneficiary: Ainsley's Angels - promoting "inclusion without limits."
• Program: Angel Rider program for individuals with disabilities.
• Support: Donations fund equipment for Angel Riders.

Awards and Cutoff

• Awards: Top 3 male and female finishers.
• Cutoff: 2 hours for the race.
• Support: Participants 17 and younger must have a dedicated volunteer paddle.
• Encouragement: Swimmers can have a kayak escort.

Parking and Shuttle

• Parking: Participants can park at the finish line.
• Shuttle: Provided to the race start.
• Drop-off: Friends or relatives can drop participants at the start.

Gear Requirements

• Allowed: Safety equipment, such as snorkels or personal buoys.
• Prohibited: Propulsion devices like fins or hand paddles.
• Wetsuits: Optional: water temperature is typically 80 degrees or higher.
• Caps: Swim caps required, latex caps available.

Event Details

• Post-Race: Breakfast items and drinks for swimmers and volunteers.
• Volunteers: Needed for kayaking/paddleboarding.
• Shirts: All volunteers receive a Swim Across the Bay shirt.

• Early Registration: Until 7/15 - $50
• Regular Registration: 7/16 - 8/28 - $55
• Late Registration: 8/29 - 9/14 - $65

Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup: September 11 at Fleet Feet Metairie, 4 PM - 7 PM.
• Main Pickup: September 13 at Mockingbird Cafe, 11 AM - 2 PM.
