Join Bay Saint Louis Running Company for the 15th Annual Bay St. Louis Turkey Trot! One of the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s favorite Thanksgiving traditions is back, and we’re celebrating 15 years of running, community, gratitude, and giving back!

Whether you’re chasing a personal record, walking with friends, pushing a stroller, or bringing the whole family, there’s something for everyone!

Enjoy a beautiful Thanksgiving morning trotting through historic Old Town Bay St. Louis, along scenic Beach Boulevard, and back to the Train Depot for a festive post-race celebration featuring delicious food, drinks, music, awards, and plenty of holiday cheer!

Both races start and finish at the historic Bay St. Louis Train Depot.

The 1-mile registration does not include a race shirt.

Race-day registration and packet pickup will be available before the events. We strongly encourage early packet pickup to avoid race-morning lines!

Awards will be presented to:

● Top 3 Overall Male and Female

● First Overall Masters Male and Female

● Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each age group (5-year increments through 80+)

And because it’s Thanksgiving, our awards are a little different!

🚂 Important Course Information — Railroad Crossings

Our Turkey Trot course travels through historic downtown Bay St. Louis and includes active railroad crossings.

For 2026, we have reversed the direction of our certified 5K route, allowing participants to encounter the railroad crossings earlier in the race. We have also scheduled our start time with consideration of the published Amtrak train schedule to minimize the likelihood of interruptions.

However, the railroad is an active transportation corridor, and unscheduled freight trains, including CSX trains, may pass through at any time. While we hope to avoid interruptions, the possibility of a train crossing has always been part of our downtown Turkey Trot course.

Railroad Crossing Safety Policy:

● All participants must obey railroad signals, crossing gates, and instructions from race officials.

● If a train approaches or crossing signals activate, runners must stop and remain behind the crossing gates until the train has passed, warning signals have stopped, and the crossing is safe.

● Under no circumstances may participants cross around, under, or through lowered or closing gates.

● Race officials will monitor designated crossings and coordinate any necessary response.

● If a train causes a delay, race organizers and the timing company will review the circumstances and determine whether any timing adjustments can be made under the event’s established procedures.

Participant safety will always take priority over finishing times.
