One of Oregon’s favorite trail full marathon and half marathon races returns for the 22nd year on Saturday, August 8th, 2026.
Race Details
- Location: Wanoga Sno Park, Cascade Lakes Highway, Bend, OR
- Distance Options: Full marathon, half marathon, and a 6.5-mile course dubbed the “Half As”
- Terrain: All-trail, including beautiful paths winding through the Deschutes National Forest
- Elevation: Starts at nearly 5500' with varying terrain and elevation
Experience
No pavement here. The Haulin’ Aspen features beautiful trails that showcase some epic views.

New Features
The Haulin' Aspen full marathon introduces a three-person relay option, allowing teams to experience the full 26.2 mile all-trail course together.
- Relay Structure: Runner 1 covers the first 9.6 miles to Transition 1 at Aid Station 3
- Longest Leg: Runner 2 tackles approximately 11.7 miles to Transition 2 at Aid Station 7 (mile 21.3)
- Final Stretch: Runner 3 completes the last 4.9-mile uphill push back to the finish
- Dynamic Sharing: A new format that allows teams to share the challenge while enjoying the scenic terrain
