Join us on 2026-01-18 at 12304 Holsclaw Hill Rd, Fairdale, KY for the Ol' Silty Winter Warrior, the third race in our Winter Warrior Series. This event is designed to keep you motivated during the winter months while showcasing local parks. The race will take place at Jefferson Memorial Forest, incorporating portions of the Siltstone and Purple Heart trails and concluding at Horine.
Complete all of the Winter Warrior Series to earn your Warrior status.
For those familiar with JMF, there are classic outhouse restrooms at the start/finish area, known fondly as the outhouses from hell. Additional portable restrooms are available about 1/8 mile down the gravel campground lane, which are much cleaner and better maintained. All restrooms will be open and accessible to race participants.
We will have an aid station about halfway through the course. Remember, our trail races are cupless. Please bring your own water bottle or hydration vest to reduce litter and waste from our events.
The Start/Finish line will be near the Horine Reservation Parking Lot. The planned course will be 9 to 10 miles. More information can be found here: Course Link.
Packet pick-up will be on-site at the Horine Reservation Parking Lot, ready for you by 7:00 AM. Please plan to pick-up your race packet with enough time to allow for pinning your bib before race start.
Shirts for this series are an optional add-on, keeping the race cost reasonable for families. A limited number of shirts will be available for sale on race day. If you want a shirt, please pre-order during registration.
Plan to arrive early for parking and carpool as much as possible. Parking is limited at the lot, and we want to respect the parks to have more events in the future.
This event is CUPLESS. Please bring your own water bottle, hydration pack, or cup. Bottled water will be available in limited supply, and water and pre-packaged snacks will be available post-race.
