🌄 Event Overview

Every spring, trail runners from across the Mountain West and beyond gather on Antelope Island for the Buffalo Run. With sweeping views of the Great Salt Lake, rolling singletrack through desert grasslands, and herds of wild bison roaming the course, the Buffalo Run blends natural beauty, community, and adventure into one unforgettable endurance event.

🏃‍♂️ Race History

Since its humble beginnings in 2006 with just 150 runners in the 25K and 50K, the event has grown into a multi-distance festival of trail running.

• Distances Offered: 25K, 50K, and 50M races.
• Participant Growth: Evolved from 150 runners to a much larger community event.
• All Experience Levels: Suitable for both first-time trail runners and experienced athletes.
• Personal Goals: Ideal for chasing personal bests, especially for the 50-mile finish.

📅 Important Update

This event has historically had a 100 miler - this distance will be moved to the Fall Classic which will take place on Saturday October 10th, 2026.

Why are our prices slightly more expensive than they have historically been?
