The East Bay Grease Team is proud to host The Tony Casillas Memorial 5k. The run is held at Sugarhouse Park and is a beautiful scenic course that goes around the park twice and starts and finishes in the same spot. This event is a run of remembrance in spirit of coach Tony Casillas who coached athletes at Sugarhouse park for over 30 years. This race has 2 major hills that you will face each loop. Runners of all ages and ability are welcome. Warm-up, hydrate, and get ready for this very energetic race that the Tony Casillas Memorial 5k has to offer. 📅 Event Details and Schedule

• Check-in, Bib pickup: 7:30-9:00am (bring ID).
• Day of race registration: available if race field capacity of 100 runners hasn't been filled. Day of race registration is $20.
• Start of Race: 9am (water and refreshments available before and after race).
• Awards: All finishers will receive a custom-made finishers medal. Top male and female will receive a $50 gift card from the Salt Lake Running Company.

🚗 Parking and Facilities

• Parking: Available around the entire park.
• Facilities: Public bathrooms are located in the park.
• Attire: Wear appropriate running/athletic attire.

Note: This event is looking to fundraise to buy shoes for underprivileged children in Salt Lake, Davis, or Utah county. A donation jar will be available on race day. No obligation, but any contribution you can make will be greatly appreciated.
