Big Brothers Big Sisters Miles for Mentorship 2026

Event Overview

• Event Name: 6th Annual Miles for Mentorship

We are excited to host our event to support Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region’s mission to ignite the promise and power of youth! This year, the event will be held at Hawk Island starting and ending at the Red Tail Shelter. Proceeds to this event help support the agency’s mission to create 1-to-1 mentoring relationships so that all youth achieve their full potential!

Kids Participation

• Event: Spooky Sprint Kids Run
• Age: Children 12 years of age and under
• Costume: Halloween costumes are encouraged
• Incentives: Each participant will receive a pumpkin to paint and a finisher medal at the finish line. The Spooky Sprint is free of charge!

Timing and Results

• Timing: Professionally chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation
• Results: Posted during the race and online at the results tab, top of the page
• Course: This 5k race is an out and back course that starts and ends at the Red Tail Shelter
