Burke Lake 12K

🏃‍♂️ Event Schedule

• 9:00am: Check-in begins
• 10:00am: 12K race

🗺️ Distance and Course

• Course Type: This is an out-and-back course almost completely around Burke Lake.
• Start/Finish Location: The start/finish is at the northern end of the Burke Lake Park Ice Cream Parlor/Merry-Go-Round parking lot on main roadway ("Start" is painted on road surface).
• Terrain: The race proceeds clockwise around lake over mildly rolling terrain.
• Path: After crossing the small bridge, bear right onto the dirt path, keeping the lake on your right. Watch for tree roots and protruding rocks!

🔄 Turnaround Information

• Distance to Turnaround: Proceed for another three miles to turnaround.
• Direction: Then proceed counterclockwise around lake back to the start/finish.
• Turnaround Marker: The turnaround is past the earthen dam and is approximately 200 yards past the 4.0 mile marker.
• Important Note: If you reach the public marina, you've gone too far!
