The Second Annual Z1000 — In Memory of Dale Zarzycki
Metro Park, Harrison Township, MI
Date: Saturday, November 29, 2025
Join us for the Second Annual Z1000, a community run, walk, and ride held in loving memory of Dale Zarzycki, who passed away from a heart attack on October 10, 2024.
This event honors Dale’s legacy of discipline, service to country, faith, and staying in motion. Whether you join us for the 10k bike ride, 5k run/walk, or simply come out to support, you’ll be part of something bigger—continuing the movement, spirit, and values he lived by every day.
Dale believed in showing up, pushing forward, and serving God. The Z1000 is our way of reflecting that spirit—with every pedal, every step, and every mile.
All proceeds and donations, along with any funds in excess of what is needed to operate the event, will be donated to the University of Michigan Samuel and Jean Frankel Cardiovascular Center Philanthropic Support Fund at Michigan Medicine.
The Frankel Fund is dedicated to advancing heart health through research, innovation, and compassionate care.
