Hustle for Heroes

Race Overview

Want to combine the trails and CrossFit? Join CrossFit Gettysburg at Heroes Ridge to "Hustle for Heroes" and honor veterans. This race will be held rain or shine on the beginner to moderate trails found on the private property of Operation Second Chance at Heroes Ridge.

Race Details

• Options: "RX", "intermediate", and "beginner" options.
• Elevation: Over the course of the trails, there is an elevation gain/loss of approximately 600m.
• Medals: There will be medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers for the 10k and 5k.
• Date and Location: The race will take place on 2025-11-08 at 17870 Harbaugh Valley Rd, Sabillasville, MD.

Proceeds and Donations

All proceeds and donations collected will be donated to Operation Second Chance which is a nonprofit organization that provides support and healing for our veterans. Please visit the link to learn more about the work and love put into this foundation that has been giving back for 20 years!

Luncheon Details

• Location: There will be a luncheon held at Chow Hall starting at approximately 1230.
• Food: CrossFit Gettysburg will be providing the protein.
• Contribution: Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.
• Change of Clothes: We ask that you bring a change of shoes/clothes especially in the event of wet/muddy conditions to change into before entering Chow Hall.

Race Options

• RX: 10k (5k loop X2) trail run/ruck/walk with 50 burpee buy-in, 50 burpees halfway, and 50 burpee cash-out.
• Intermediate: 5k trail run/ruck/walk, 25 burpee buy-in and cash-out.
• Beginner: 1(ish) mile trail run/ruck/walk, 10 burpee buy-in and cash-out (kid friendly, but not stroller friendly).
• Trail Conditions: Trails are walking/ATV trails, with beginner/mod elevation.

Additional Information

• Aid Station: There will be one aid station approximately halfway through the 5k route.
• Scaling Options: Available options include up-downs, decreased reps, or walk/hike/ruck.
• Schedule: Gate will open at 9AM, pre-race meeting at 9:50, race starting at 10AM.
• Parking: Parking is limited, please carpool if able!
