Join us for the inaugural Tangi Animal Friends Wag, Walk and Run 5K & 1 Mile Dog Walk & Fun Run presented by Stafford Veterinary Hospital.
- Event Type: This is a dog friendly event to raise funds for Tangi Animal Friends.
- Mission: Tangi Animal Friends is a local 501c3 non-profit group that has partnered with many local veterinary hospitals & rescues.
- Financial Assistance: They provide financial assistance for the spay and neutering of dogs and cats in the local parishes.
- Community Focus: Initiatives include rabies vaccines, microchipping, pet food assistance, and emergency medical care.
This race is not just about the Hooomans, it's about the DOGS!! No cats allowed.
Course
WE HAVE A LITTLE CHANGE OF SCENERY...The course will be an out and back starting & finishing at North Oak Park.
1 Mile Dog Walk
Get your pup ready to Wag, Walk & Run!
- Dog Friendly: The 1 Mile is a dog friendly dog walk with a Hoooman option to run.
- Awards: The first 3 kids 13 & under to cross the finish line will be awarded medals.
- Finisher’s Medal: AND YOUR PUP WILL GET A FINISHERS MEDAL TOO!!
- Fun for All: It's a great way to enjoy time with your furry friend!
5K Run
The 5K will be a chipped timed event! ONLY for the Doggie parents--NO DOGS ALLOWED.
Awards and Finisher Medals
- 5K Awards: Overall Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, Male & Female.
- Age Groups: Awards will be presented for various age groups: 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
- Finisher Medals: ALL HOOOMAN FINISHERS OF THE 1 MILE AND THE 5K WILL RECEIVE A CUSTOM FINISHER'S MEDAL.
- Discount: There is a $5.00 discount when you sign up for both the 5K & 1 Mile Dog Walk & Fun Run.

- Water and Food: Traditional post-race refreshments will be available.
- Largest Group Award: Gather your group and sign up!
- Contests: Look-alike contest and Best Dressed Pup contest with prizes!
