Race Giveaways

• FEETURES SOCKS: The giveaway this year is a pair of amazing and super comfortable FEETURES SOCKS! Socks are limited to the first 300 registered runners.
• FLEECE CREW: Youth runners will again get a fleece crew! Limited sizes and quantities. First registered get first pick.
• Alternate Options: If fleece crews run out, youth will receive a pair of features socks or you can choose them instead of fleece crew.

Event Details

• Community Support: Come join us for a fun family day of running to support those in need in our community.
• Distance Options: Participants can choose a 5K run or a 2-mile walk on the beach.
• Awards: 5K awards go to the top 3 male and female overall and age group winners in 10-year groups.
• Registration: ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY. Pick up is race day from 6:15-7:45 AM inside Community Hall.

Course Information

• Course Design: It is an out-and-back course. All runs start and finish at 30th Street and the Beach.
• Turnarounds: The 2 Mile Walk turnaround is at 49th Street. 5K turnaround is at 60th Street.
• Timing: The event is chip-timed by DQ Events.
• Water Aid: There is NOT a water aid station on the course.

Kids Events

• Fun Runs: KIDS 2K and 1K FUN RUNS are included in the day’s event.
• Life-changing Sport: The goal of hosting the fun runs is to transform lives through sport. We believe every aspiring young athlete should participate.
• Healthy Lifestyle: Our events provide a fun fitness outlet that can jumpstart a healthy lifestyle for years to come.
• Medals and Awards: Medals to all youth finishers. Awards for top 5 male and female in each age group (8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15 years old).

Fun Run Turnarounds

• 2K Fun Run: Turnaround for youth 11-15 years old is at 42nd Street.
• 1K Fun Run: Turnaround for youth 10 and under is at 36th Street.
• Inclusivity: We take them young if they can run it!

Fastest Family Competition

• Details: FASTEST FAMILY is a FREE event! One parent in the 5K teams up with one child in either of the 2K or 1K runs.
• Combined Times: Top 3 lowest combined times win a prize for each of the distances.
• Bragging Rights: Winners receive bragging rights as The Island’s Fastest Family.
• Family Participation: Everyone in your family is encouraged to come out and run with us.

Charity Support

• Beneficiary: Proceeds will go to the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children in Avalon.
• Cost Coverage: Funds will help offset the $1500 per week cost per child for their free week of vacation.
• Community Involvement: Support of the Home is provided by volunteerism, foundation grants, general donations, and community organizations.
• Donation Transparency: 100% of your donation will go to fund their programs.
