Event Giveaways
- Socks: The give away this year is a pair of amazing and super comfortable BALEGA SOCKS! Socks are limited to the first 300 registered runners.
- Youth Fleece Crew: Youth runners will again get a FLEECE CREW! Limited sizes and quantities. First registered get first pick.
- Socks Options: If fleece crews run out, youth will get a pair of features socks or you can choose them instead of fleece crew.
Race Details
- Course: It is an out and back course. All the runs start and finish at 30th Street and the Beach.
- Turnarounds: The 2 Mile Walk turn around is at 49th Street. 5K turn around is at 60th Street.
- Awards: 5K Awards go to TOP 3 male and female overall and age group winners in 10 year groups.
- Timing: The event is chipped timed by DQ Events. You will be running down by the water edge in packed hard sand.
- Water Stations: There is NOT a water aid station on the course.
Kids Races
- Events: KIDS 2K and 1K FUN RUNS are also included in the day’s event.
- Goal: The goal of hosting the fun runs is to transform lives through sport.
- Medals: Medals to all youth finishers. Awards for top 5 male and female in each age group (8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15 years old).
- Turnarounds: 2K Fun Run turn around for YOUTH 11-15 years old is at 42nd Street. The 1K FUN RUN turn around for YOUTH 10 AND UNDER is at 36th Street.
Fastest Family Competition
- Eligibility: Mom or dad (ONE parent) in the 5K run team up with one child in either of the 2K or 1K RUNS.
- Prizes: Top 3 lowest combined times win a prize for each of the distances (10 and under in the 1K and 11-15 in the 2K, and any age in the 5K).
- Bragging Rights: Winners get bragging rights for the year as The Island's Fastest Family.
Charity Support
- Beneficiary: Proceeds will go to the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children right here in Avalon.
- Cost: These funds will go to offset the $1500 per week cost per child for their free week of vacation here in Avalon.
- Program Funding: Support of the Home is provided by volunteerism, foundation grants, general donations, and community organizations.
- Donation Impact: 100% of your donation will go to fund their programs.
