The Trail That Can't Be Concord 30K, 10K, and Kids Trail Mile

TIME & PLACE

• Start Times: 10k and 20k races start at 8:00 am.
• KIDS RACE: Starts at 7:30 am.
• Location: Starts/finishes at Concord Park on Northshore Drive.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

• Course Type: A wild and wooly course awaits participants.
• Distance: 1 lap is 10k, 2 laps are 20k.
• Kids Trail Mile: A fast and furious fun run for children.

DIRECTIONS

• Route: Take I-40 to Campbell Station Rd, exit and head south.
• Turn: Cross Kingston Pike and continue to the roundabout junction with Northshore Drive.
• Distance: Turn right and go 1.3 miles.
• Parking: Available on the left and/or right.

KIDS TRAIL RACE

• Course: Kids will run a moderately hilly and fun out and back course of about a mile.

T-SHIRTS

• Edition: Special limited edition T-shirts for the series.
• One Shirt: One shirt per runner PER SEASON please.
• Funding: Taking multiple shirts minimizes monies donated to trail-friendly causes.

TTT SERIES AWARDS

• Awards: Top 3 in each division will win free race entries.
• Prize Drawing: Two lucky runners get a pair of shoes, thanks to Runners Market.
• Awards Ceremony: Presented at the KTC Holiday Party in December.
• Eligibility: Must be a KTC member and volunteer twice during the trail race season.

COURSE ETIQUETTE

• Disqualification: Unsportsmanlike conduct or abuse to volunteers will not be tolerated.
• Regulations: No headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades or pets on the course.

SAFETY

• Aid Stations: At least one aid station will be set up with small cups.
• Hydration: Participants are urged to carry their own hydration containers.
• Insect Sensitivity: Carry your own medication if sensitive to stings or bites.
• Pre-race Training: Recommended to do some pre-race training offroad.

SAFETY POLICY CLARIFICATION

• Age Restriction: Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for adult races.
• Minimum Pace: A minimum pace of 18:00/mile will need to be enforced.
• Sweeper: Each race will have a sweeper for those below pacing requirements.
• Encouragement: Don't get caught by the sweep!

BIB USAGE POLICY

• Accountability: Don't take a bib if you're not running.
• Notification: Let race officials know if dropping out of the race.
• Bib Handling: Don’t crunch or fold the bib: it must remain intact for timing.

• Opportunities: Runners can volunteer to enhance their experience in the KTC TTT series.
• Grand Prix Rankings: Volunteerism is required for placement.
• No Experience Needed: Volunteering could be more fun than running!
