The Trail That Can't Be Concord 20K, 10K, and Kids Trail Mile

TIME & PLACE

• Start Time: 10k and 20k races start at 8:00 am, Kids Race starts at 7:30 am.
• Location: Starts/finishes at Concord Park on Northshore Drive.
• Directions: Google Maps Link to Start.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

• Course Layout: A wild and wooly course -- 1 lap is 10k, 2 laps are 20k, and a fast and furious Kids Trail Mile.
• Terrain: Expect a challenging yet fun experience for all participants.

DIRECTIONS

• Route: Take I-40 to Campbell Station Rd, exit and head south.
• Path: Cross Kingston Pike and continue to the roundabout junction with Northshore Drive.
• Final Steps: Turn right and go 1.3 miles: parking will be available on the left and/or right.

KIDS TRAIL RACE

• Course Type: Kids will run a moderately hilly and fun out and back course of about a mile.

• One Shirt Policy: One shirt per runner per season please: this helps us donate to trail-friendly causes.

TTT SERIES AWARDS

• Awards: We'll be awarding the top 3 in each division free race entries.
• Lucky Draw: Two lucky runners can win a pair of shoes, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Runners Market.
• Award Ceremony: Awards presented at the annual KTC Holiday Party in December.
• Eligibility: To qualify for series awards, you must be a member of KTC and have volunteered twice during the race season.

COURSE ETIQUETTE

• Conduct: We reserve the right to disqualify anyone who exhibits unsportsmanlike conduct or is abusive to volunteers.
• Restrictions: No headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, rollerblades, or pets on the course due to insurance regulations.

SAFETY

• Aid Station: There will be at least one aid station, but we encourage carrying your own hydration container.
• Pre-race Training: We urge everyone to do some pre-race training off-road for a good experience.

SAFETY POLICY CLARIFICATION

• Age Requirement: Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the adult race.
• Pace Policy: Enforcement of the 18:00/mile minimum pace to ensure volunteers are not in the woods longer than necessary.

DO NOT TAKE A BIB IF YOU'RE NOT RUNNING

• Safety Concern: Taking a bib indicates you are running: not finishing may lead to safety concerns and the need to track you down.
• Bib Handling: Please do not crunch or fold the bib: we need it unspoiled to record your time and finish place.

• Volunteers Wanted: We love our volunteers! Connect with us if you’d like to volunteer (trails@ktc.org).
• Grand Prix Qualification: To qualify for a Grand Prix award, runners must volunteer for a minimum of two events.
• No Experience Required: Volunteer positions are available, and it can be more fun than running.
