Description: The Night Owl 5K is a run/walk through Panola Mountain State Park, just outside of Atlanta, with all proceeds benefitting AWARE's mission of wildlife rehabilitation and education!
Mission: We accept injured and orphaned native Georgia wildlife, like an owl hit by a car or a baby opossum that lost its mom.
Goal: We heal their wounds if they’re injured, raise them up if they’re orphaned, always with the goal of returning them to the wild.
Race Day: Non-releasable AWARE wildlife will be there to cheer you on from the sidelines and greet you at the start/finish.
🎽 Participant Experience
Pictures: You’ll get pictures with the animals.
T-shirt: A race t-shirt will be provided.
Medals: A chance to win medals.
Inclusivity: About half our participants walk, so it’s suitable for runners/walkers of all ages and skill levels.
