Description

• Event: Join us for the Awesome 80s Summer Solstice Beach Run presented by Moe Moon's! This unique race features the beauty of Myrtle Beach and takes advantage of the beginning of summer and the longest day of sunlight!
• Start Point: Participants will begin on the sand at Plyler Park and head north for approx 1/2 mile and then return.
• After Party: Once your race is complete, join us at Plyler Park for music, food, and fun!
• Food: Race participants will receive a hotdog, chips, and soda/water compliments of Moe Moon's! Bring your beach towel, dress up in your favorite 80s costume, and let's have a picnic together!

Race Info

• Location: Race will begin and end on the sand regardless of the tide.
• Course: Begin on the beach adjacent to Plyler Park and head north: return to finish line on the beach.
• Course Monitors: Course monitors will be along the course to provide direction.
• Rules: Animals are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification. Baby joggers, baby strollers, skateboards, roller blades, unauthorized bicycles or any other wheeled device are not permitted and will result in disqualification.

Packet Pickup

• Date: Saturday, June 20 from 2:30-4:00pm at Native Sons (1519 Executive Avenue, MB).
• Date: Sunday, June 21 from 6:00pm-6:45pm at Plyler Park (1100 N Ocean Blvd, MB).

Race Swag

• Participant Bib: Each runner will receive a bib.
• Shirt: Participant Shirt (while supplies last).
• Medal: Participant Medal.

Registration

• Online Only: Registration is only available online.
• Deadline: Registration closes Sunday, June 21 at 5:30pm.

Parking

• Meters: Metered parking available adjacent to Ocean Blvd.
• Garage: Lanier Paid Parking garage on 9th Avenue N/Hwy 17 Business.

Restrooms

• Location: Public restrooms are across the street from Plyler Park/Skywheel.

Race Day Schedule

• Packet Pickup: 6:00-6:45pm.
• Race Start: 7:00pm.
• Raffle: 7:30pm Raffle Prizes and Costume Raffle winners.
